Our Instructors
Our programs are organized and run by the Director of the BNSS with the assistance of a full-time instructor and a number of part-time certified instructors and assistants.
We operate our Year Round Program with five instructors and three assistants. Our Summer Sailing Camp operates with 10 instructors and six assistants.
All of our instructors today are Bahamians and all of them have evolved from the BNSS sailing program and have achieved their Level One Instructor’s Certification.
The Director of BNSS and Coach has extensive experience in teaching sailing, as well as other sports. He also raced internationally for many years and represented The Bahamas in numerous World Championships, the Caribbean Central American Games, Pan American Games, and the 1996 Olympic Games. The school’s other full-time instructor came up through the BNSS junior sailing program and has represented The Bahamas in international events including the 2009 ISAF Junior World Championship.
