Photo finish on the last race of the series at the 2024 Bahamas Sunfish Jr Nationals

20 young sailors competed this past weekend at Elizabeth Harbour, Great Exuma in the 2024 Bahamas Junior Sunfish Nationals; 8 from the Bahamas National Sailing School in Nassau and 12 from the host Exuma Sailing Club.
This marks the second consecutive year that the event was held in Exuma.
In an incredibly exciting final race of the series, Joss Knowles and Tanaj Manos were neck and neck on the finish line and a race tie left both sailors with an equal 9 points after 7 races; ultimately it was Tanaj Manos who was crowned champion following a count of the number of 1st place finishes.

The Bahamas Junior Sunfish Championships is the largest and most prestigious under 19 Sunfish regatta in The Bahamas. It is held annually in November under the guidance of the Bahamas Sailing Association. It is hoped that the Exuma Sailing Club will host in 2025.
