Bahamas Sunfish Nationals 2021 Results

BAHAMAS SUNFISH NATIONALS OPEN & JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP 2021

The 2021 Sunfish Nationals were held November 27th & 28th  in Montague Bay. The Royal Nassau Sailing Club hosted the event.

Extremely light wind conditions were challenging for competitors. Saturday’s conditions were very consistent while Sunday saw major shifts from one minute to the next.

In the Junior category, Patrus Maritz came in 3rd, Jaxon Parker was 2nd and Joshua Weech topped the group in 1st with 10 points and 1 win.

In the Open class Gavin McKinney came 3rd, Jimmie Lowe took 2nd  and Donnie Martinborough took the top spot of 1st with 10 points and  2 Wins.

Overall first place and National Champion 2021 went to Donnie Martinborough.  He and Joshua  Weech tied with 10 points, however, taking two wins broke the tie in  Donnie’s favour.
